Johanna van den Berg, madre de tres hijos, ha dedicado gran parte de su vida al arte y diseño de interiores. Cuando no está viajando al rededor del mundo organizando exclusivos eventos o exposiciones privadas, se dedica también a la industria del cine.
Johanna comenzó en 1964 como modelo de fotografía trabajando en varios países y a corta edad ya poseía varios negocios diferentes. En 1970 comenzó su compañía Wolfsburght representando Art & Antique Silverware que presentó en exposiciones privadas en Europa y los Estados Unidos. Su casa con una gran historia, fue construida por el marido de la reina Guillermina de Holanda, Prins Hendrik.
Alrededor de 1975 trabajó con Ingace Graba, un famoso artista, pintor y diseñador. Junto con él y un grupo de arquitectos y profesores de la Universidad de Gent comenzaron “El Lenguaje de las Formas”, un filosófico concepto de diseño interior que después de 5 años fue lanzado como un libro en los Campos Elíseos de París. Johanna fue privilegiada al recibir el apoyo y la gran ayuda de Barbara Rockefeller y John Portman para este proyecto. En 1997 Johanna ganó el premio “Winning Award” por un diseño de muebles en el “International Trade Mart” en Holanda.
En 1980, Johanna comenzó en Nueva York presentando exposiciones privadas de pintores holandeses en varios hoteles en la zona de Manhattan. El Señor Edward Ross, propietario de Vista International Hotel, el Drake en San Francisco y el Breakers en Palm Springs Miami la apoyaron mucho y se convirtieron en grandes amigos, al mismo tiempo que participó en el famoso “Peter Stuyvesant Ball” para celebrar los 200 años de comercio entre Holanda y Nueva York con una gran exposición de pintores holandeses.
Caridad. Johanna ha sido la única mujer del Consejo de Administración en presentar el “Variety Club Internacional” en Holanda llamado TENT 69, una organización de caridad en todo el mundo con base en Los Ángeles y con el apoyo de grandes representantes de la industria del cine y entretenimiento. Johanna se involucró por sus antecedentes familiares, después de 3 años de período de prueba obtuvo el nombramiento en 1984 por Sammy Davis Junior en Sydney, Australia. También recibió, en su cumpleaños número 50, una medalla de oro del Rey de Bélgica por su trabajo con las Olimpiadas Especiales, una organización de caridad en todo el mundo.
En el año 1980 hasta el 1990 Johanna fue una de las fundadoras de la Primera Cámara Junior para Mujer en Holanda, llamada los “Jaycettes”. En 1989 la familia se trasladó a Bélgica, donde Johanna abrió “Schilde”, su primera tienda en el interior del país y después una tienda pequeña en Antwerpen llamada “Willemijntje”, luego todos sus negocios de muebles” In & Export” fueron nombrados como su hija, Willemijn. Todo su mobiliario de diseño vino de la fábrica en Polonia y más tarde abrió su “Johanna´s Lifestyle” en Serbia. Alrededor de 1995 comenzó un negocio de joyería, diseñando ella misma parte de las joyas. Debió viajar mucho a Bangkok y abrió también su tienda “Barrow Ltd” en Hong Kong.
En 1999, Johanna se trasladó junto a su hijo menor, Willem Lodewijk, a Nueva York, lugar donde abrió su tienda “Johanna´s Lifestyle JLS Interior & Art” al mismo tiempo que inauguraba una en los Hamptons. Trabajó junto con Martha Stewart presentando cada mes su página especial de “JLS Johanna Lifestyle” con nuevas ideas de decoración de interiores alrededor del mundo. En cuanto a la moda, trabajó con John Anand, un famoso diseñador de Nueva York, incluso en la actualidad.
Qué podía saber ella que su sueño estaba a punto de romperse? El 11 de Septiembre cambió completamente su vida al encontrarse muy cerca de las torres.
En 2003 su hermano la invitó a Marbella, España, para pasar Navidad con su familia, lugar donde decidió quedarse. En el 2004 abrió “Johanna´s Lifestyle Real Estate & Interior Business” en Puerto Banús, junto con su hijo mayor Michiel que fue a vivir a Marbella para ayudar a su madre (en ese momento, Michiel trabajaba como productor del famoso programa de TV “Gran Hermano” en Alemania). En la actualidad, es fotógrafo en el mundialmente famoso “Ocean Beach Club” de Marbella.
Johanna está trabajando en varios proyectos, uno de ellos es ser representante exclusiva de la pintura más cara del mundo de la casa de Swarovski llamada “JEWEL” hecho con Swarovski Elements, también es consultora de arte para sus clientes privados que quieren vender o comprar obras de arte de alta calidad como Picasso, Miro, Monet … Además, sus amigos y clientes que buscan propiedades le piden consejos de diseño de interiores para sus casas. Johanna y su equipo siempre ayudan, ya que siempre va a ser su pasión! Recientemente, se involucró más en la industria del cine, un amigo le escribió un guión y ahora se convirtió en parte de este equipo! Está muy feliz y se siente privilegiada por trabajar junto a Brendan Foley, un famoso productor de Hollywood y exitoso escritor del bestseller “Under the Wire” el cual se ha lanzado como una producción de Hollywood. Así Johanna está ocupada en busca de inversores para diferentes producciones de Hollywood.
Así que ya ves, al final del día, Johanna vino de la ciudad de Nueva York, que nunca duerme a otra ciudad que nunca duerme…Marbella. Sólo con una gran diferencia…si te sientes bien o mal, Marbella te da ese sol y esa energía que te hace la vida más hermosa!
Hay un libro que es presentado todos los años por Oscar Horacio Holtzeker Fernández desde hace ya 20 años sobre Marbella y su estilo de vida llamado “Las 100 Empresarias Más Elegante Del Mundo”, si le echa un vistazo, usted entenderá esta frase «Marbella te Quiero!!»

Johanna van den Berg, who is a mother of three childeren has dedicated a great part of her life to the Art & Interior Design and Film Industry when not travelling around the world or organizing exclusive private events or exhibitions.
Johanna started in 1964 as a model of photography working in different countries. On a very young age she owned several different businesses. In 1970 she started her company De Wolfsburght representing Art & Antique Silverware which she presented in private exhibitions in Europe & the USA. Her house has a great history! It was built by the husband of the Queen of Holland Wilhelmina, Prins Hendrik.
Around 1975 she worked with Ingace Graba, a famous artist, painter and designer. Together with him and a group of very high qualified people like architects and professors of the University of Gent they started “The Language of Forms”. A philosophical Interior Design Concept, after 5 years the book and the concept has been launched on the Champs Elyseé in Paris. Johanna has been very privileged to get a lot of support and help in this project from Barbara Rockefeller & John Portman. In 1997 Johanna did win a Winning Award for a Furniture Design at the International Trade Mart in Utrecht the Netherlands.
In 1980 Johanna started in New York presenting in private exhibitions Dutch painters at several hotels in the Manhattan area. Mister Edward Ross the owner of the Vista International Hotel, the Drake in San Francisco and the Breakers in Palm Springs Miami supported her a lot and they became great friends Same time she took part in the famous Peter Stuyvesant Ball to celebrate the 200 years trade between the Netherlands and New York with a big exhibition of Dutch Painters.
Johanna has been as the only female in the board of directors presenting the Variety Club International for the Netherlands called TENT 69 which is a worldwide charity organization that is based in L.A and supported by famous people from the Film & Entertainment Industry. Johanna got involved with it due here family background, after 3 years of probation time she got the Charter in 1984 from Sammy Davis Junior in Sydney, Australia. She also received a Gold Medal on her 50th birthday from the King of Belgium for her work with Special Olympics a worldwide charity organization.
In the year 1980 till 1990 Johanna has been also one of the founders of the first Junior Chamber for Woman in the Netherlands, named the Jaycettes. In 1989, the family moved to Belgium, where Johanna opened her first Interior Country Shop in Schilde and afterwards a retail shop in Antwerpen called Willemijntje, later on her In & Export furniture business all named of her daughter Willemijn. The production of her furniture design came from the factory in Poland and later on she opened her Johanna´s Lifestyle in Serbia. Around 1995 she started also a jewelry business, a part of it she designed herself, for this she traveled a lot to Bangkok and opened also her Barrow LTD in Hongkong.
In 1999, Johanna moved together with her youngest son Willem-Lodewijk to N.Y where she opened her Johanna´s Lifestyle JLS Interior & Art shop at the same time she opened her Johanna´s Lifestyle Country shop JLS in the Hamptons. She worked for and together with Martha Stewart presenting every month her special JLS Johanna´s Lifestyle page´s with new interior decoration idea´s from around the world! For the fashion, she worked with Anand John, a famous fashion designer in N.Y even at present time.
How little did she know that her dream would suddenly shatter…The fated 11th of September completely changed her life!! She was located to close to the towers. In 2003 her brother invited Johanna to come to Marbella, Spain to spent Christmas with her family. She visit Marbella and decided to stay and in 2004 she opened her Johanna´s Lifestyle Real Estate & Interior Business in Puerto Banus together with her oldest son Michiel who at that present time worked as producer of the famous TV program Big Brother at RTL in Germany but decided to stay in Marbella to help his mother and….also liked the Marbella Lifestyle! At present time he is the film-video and photographer at the world famous OCEAN BEACH Club in Marbella.
Johanna is working at several projects as one of them is to be exclusive representative of the most expensive paint in the world from the house of Swarovski named JEWEL made with Swarovski Elements. Also consulting art for her private clients to sell or buy high quality artwork like Picasso, Miro, Monet … Beside that she still has her friends and clients that are looking for beautiful properties and love to have her advice of the Interior of their houses. Johanna and her team always help because that will always be her passion!!! Very recently, she got involved again in the Film Industry a friend of her wrote a film script and she now became a part of this team to make this happen!
She is very happy and privileged as she says to work together Brendan Foley a famous Hollywood producer and success full writer of the bestseller book “Under the Wire” that has been released as a Hollywood production film as well So Johanna is busy looking for investors for various Hollywood production Films.
So you see at the end of the day, Johanna came from the city New York, that never sleeps to another city that never sleeps…Marbella .Only with one big difference…. If you feel good or bad, Marbella gives you SUNSHINE and that energy makes our lives so beautiful over here!!
